Nice hit bro!

Have any thoughts on Akron +4.5 against Miami Ohio?

RULES for plays or no-plays on the 2H system:

TOTALS:
Initial Line-Total 1H Score-2H Line = Magic Number

If the 'Magic Number' is a NEGATIVE number and GREATER than 10 (or 13), then it is a play on the 2H OVER

If the 'Magic Number' is a POSITIVE number and GREATER than 10 (or 13), then it is a play on the 2H UNDER

SIDES:
Initial Line-HT Lead-2H Line = Magic Number

If the 'Magic Number' is a POSITIVE number and GREATER than 10 (or 13), then it is a play on the FAVORITE (at the start of the game)

If the 'Magic Number' is a NEGATIVE number and GREATER than 10 (or 13), then it is a play on the UNDERDOG (at the start of the game)

Couple of examples from Covers.com forum:

EXAMPLE 1:
Miami @ Houston
Texans were -13 and 41.5 (Lines at start of game)
Texans up 24-3 at the half
2nd Half Lines are Texans -4.5 and 18

SIDES Formula: Initial Line-HT Lead-2H Line = Magic Number
-13-(-21)-(-4.5)= +12.5
(POSITIVE & Greater than 10)
Thus we have a play on the initial favorites, TEXANS -4.5 2H

TOTALS Formula: Initial Line-Total 1H Score-2H Line = Magic Number
41.5-27-18= -3.5
(NEGATIVE & Lesser than 10)
Therefore, we have NO PLAY on the over/under totals

EXAMPLE 2:
Carolina @ Tampa Bay
Carolina was -3 and 45.5 (Initial Lines)
At the half, 13-0 Bucs
2H Lines were Carolina -3 and 21.5

SIDES Formula: Initial Line-HT Lead-2H Line = Magic Number
-3-(+13)-(-3)= -13
(NEGATIVE & Greater than 10)
Thus we have a play on the initial underdogs, BUCS +3 2H

TOTALS Formula: Initial Line-Total 1H Score-2H Line = Magic Number
45.5-13-21.5= +11
(POSITIVE & Greater than 10)
Therefore, we have a PLAY on the UNDER

BUCS +3 and UNDER 21.5 were both plays

Thanks to Cowbells for the rules, and helping out with the spreadsheet.

I think we got a cool little thing for the system guys.

I feel more comfortable using the system for 2H over/under totals than for SIDES.

System went 1-0 with one play on UW/Stanford UNDER 2H of 23. It was 21.

Check out the spreadsheet DaBeerz. Thanks for showing us the system.

Anyone have thoughts on UAB +16 at home?

UAB has some question marks as far as injuries go. But Tulsa is coming off an emotional comeback win against Fresno State. UAB might have a let down after hanging with Ohio State, but they might be pumped up and ready to get a W.

Holy shite that shite is the shite Bama.

Didn't play anything last night but I'll be all over it this weekend.

One question for the 2H formula, who's lines for favorites and totals are we inputting at the beginning? Obviously they change so much through out the week and vary from site to site.
