depends.

This week I'm looking at Arizona State (+6.5) & Ole Miss (+9.5)

I think my biggest play of the week is going to be Louisville -3 against UNC.

The Heels normally don't play well on the road, and losing Bernard will hurt big time. Plus, I think the Heels will have trouble with the dual threat QB.

I'm not adding any more games this week, but two more that look pretty good to me are

Sam Houston St +28.5 @ Baylor
Western Ill. +38.5 @ Iowa St.

SHSU is ranked #1 in FCS and has a ground based offense (shortening the game). Also, Baylor's weakness on D is run stopping. SHSUs defensive strength is the secondary.

I like that Western Ill line really just for the fact that ISU never really seems to blow anyone out and they have a pretty weak offense overall.

For those betting the Penn State game:

Wide Receiver Shawney Kersey Leaves Penn State Football Team

Only their 3rd leading receiver, but on a team that is hurting for offense, it could be a blow.

In Ford Frenzy's defense, we haven't seen many, go against the grain.

I know him IRL, and he constantly bets against the grain, he lost his arse last season, while most on here did very well.

So far this season, it has been the opposite.

You sure he's out. I saw where he dressed last week, but didn't play. Couldn't find anything on him this week. I was looking hard at this one too.

My comment was a sarcastic, but I would love for him to come give us what he's got and why if he's doing well. I'm not hurting by any means this season, going 11-1 and 5-8 (4-2 on NFL) has put me up about 10 units, but I would still love to hear the opposite side of some bets, including my own.

Bernard did not practice today, and it is still an "undisclosed" injury ... I am just afraid if I wait until they officially announce that he is not playing, the line will double.

Lol, good deal man.

I always give him shite because the problem with consistently betting "Against the Public" is it's never consistent. You can go 5-1 one week and 0-6 the next, I've seen it too often.

I agree. I think there's a healthy medium between completely fading the public and laying everything the public is betting. The problem is finding that medium. I hope it works well for him.

A lot of people got tricked by Vegas last week, including me. I jumped at lines too early. Looks like VaTech might have got me this week, I grabbed them real early. But then again, you never know. Trying to watch late week line movement this week, instead of early.

Let me know how that works out for you. I guess you missed out on the Jets -2.5, Bucs +3, and Ravens -6.5 plays that were all easy winners this weekend...

True. I liked it when I saw it at -3 initially. Then saw where you posted that you recommended not betting on a UNC game b/c you never know which team will show up. That an the Gio injury has made me back off, esp since I haven't seen any highlights on them.

Damn, that UNLV lined plummeted over the night. Down from 10.5 to 8.

I bet on the Ravens, didn't touch the others ... I'm just saying the bets I have seen posted by SMS, they have been getting smashed. Needless to say, I have not seen ALL of their posted plays.

It seems like "big name" favorites hit at an insane clip last year. I also play in a season long pick contest with 200+ people where you have to pick 10 games per week. Last year the leader at the end of October hadn't picked a single dog all year, and second place had only picked 3 or 4. Meanwhile I was floundering in like 90th.

I typically play more faves early in the season. I usually only fade the public if they are siding with a dog.

ETA: I should say I don't auto fade public dogs, but they will automatically hit my sheet and it takes less convincing than usual to pull the trigger. I still like to find some kind of angle to go along with it. If it turns out to be a game I really liked anyway then I'll load up on it.

Maybe it would be best to track his plays for a few weeks before joking about fading... Your bankroll will thank you later.
