Kentucky +7.5 is my first bet of the week.
Outside of Pharoh Cooper, SC didn't impress me. Kentucky has a lot of young guys that just need to play smart and they will stay within the # and possibly win outright. SC's offense isn't running away from anyone. Even Spurrier admits this.

eta: Texas could turn into a situation where you fade them every week like Lane Kiffin at USC a couple years ago. They are a mess. They already demoted their OC after the first game

How are yall feeling about GA Southern being a home dog? I know they had a terrible game last week, but i think they should bounce back. DOn't know much about western michigan though.

I graded both of those games as no plays. Utah State's defense is solid and 14 is a lot to cover. Marshall in a key letdown spot.

Looking at Colorado State at home against Minnesota. Rams getting 6.5 right now (opened @ +5).
Getting 6.5 points as a home team, against a Minnesota team people may be overvaluing after their close loss against TCU. I like it.
Waiting to see if it gets to 7.

My sheets love Colorado State, saying they will be an outright winner
I stayed away from this game because Minnesota has a decent secondary and though Colorado State has Higgins, Minnesota just got done doing a good job of containing an overall stronger receiving corps. Colorado State has one receiver so Minnesota can focus all their attention on him.
I think Dee Hart was the key cog in the Colorado State offense last year, and he and their QB graduated.
For all intents and purposes Colorado State didn't play a real game this past Saturday and will be breaking in their new QB and RB against a team with a good secondary. Minnesota could turn them into a one dimensional team.
Colorado State played a similar team in their bowl game last year(solid defense, bad offense) in Utah and got waxed.
If anything I would play the under in this game. I do agree that Colorado State +6.5 is a better play than Minnesota -6.5 but too many question marks for CSU.

Not very. Weeks 2-7 are generally the gray area with my model because I have to strike the right balance between preseason numbers and actual results.
Basically I try to line up the outputs as close to the Vegas lines as possible then take a look at the outliers.

My entire model was 54.7% ATS in 2013 from Week 8 on and 55.2% ATS last year from Week 8 on.
Last year 46.4% Weeks 2-7. Entire season average 53.2%.
