right click, copy image location or if you upload it yourself click the three dots ... next to where it says copy link, click get share links, copy link from BBCodes (forum) option (should be 3rd down from the top of the 4 choices)

I’m on mobile using the app. Maybe that’s why it won’t work. I’m copying the https/ link and posting it on img here but it’s previewing a white square

If you're doing it via browser instead of their app:
Press on the imgur image and open in new tab. Then try that link. If it doesn't work, press on that image and open in new tab again. Then try that link. Giphy works like that too.
