Schultz was also head of campus police in 2002.

.it's just a damn shame there are people out there that would represent him knowing what we know. There isn't a maybe about his innocence.
It can be a fine line sometimes and I get your sentiment, but I disagree with your demonizing his attorneys a this point.

Paterno and others had to know about this for years, he started his second mile thing in '77. I bet they've have been hiding this shite since sometime around then. The guy didn't just up and start molesting boys in 1994. I bet more victims come forward and this gets way worse.
It seems Paterno and others knew about this stuff since 98 at the very latest. Not reporting this could also be a felony in a few states, a misdemeanor in most. We know Pateno, McQueary and others knew for sure in 2002.
It's really unnerving that so many could stand by and do nothing. I mean all they did was tell him not to bring boys on campus anymore.
Oh, you like to frick little boys, that's ok, just make sure you don't do it here and make us look bad. Unreal.

What a shame that this will mar the legacy of Joe Pag.
I feel bad for the Victims the Victims families the players who listened to these coaches trying to learn more than just about football but about character etc, and the fans in that order.
I despise Sandusky McQuery JoePa Joe Pas legacy and the administration. In basically that order
How you could feel bad about a legacy of having good character and a solid man when they were anything but that is odd

We can agree to disagree then.

Penn State has to get rid of Pope JoePA...that way he can fake memory loss for the civil law suit deposition.
If I was one of the victims...I would file suit and depose Pope JoePa a.s.a.p.

If Spanier survives this I will lose it.

He's been holding on too long for a decade now, not surprised this wouldn't change his mind.

There...that's more accurate.

I believe I read where Paterno's son said his dad was never made aware of the 1998 incident. Shultz, the VP that Paterno went to after the 2002 incident, however, has admitted to knowing about the 1998 allegations.
It says it in the Grand Jury statement of findings. I believe this is another reason Paterno will not face criminal charges.

Whatever he really knew or didn't know he's caught - he can't stay and yet he can't really speak - there will be a lot of speculation and assumptions for a long time once he's out and basically gagged.
I don't know how much of his story he'll be able to tell until it goes to a legal defense process down the road with lawsuits brought by the victims.

The crying thing was a little embelishment if you ask me. Why would you cry. I would be pissed off, and he did get a little pissed by not coming out, oops, maybe the wrong words there, by not standing up and bringing this to the forefront.

It's an unfortunate ending for his career, not sure how "sorry I am" about it but a man puts those kind of years into his career and will be forever tarnished now.

Reading comprehension.....GET SOME. I have already responded to other comments about this already. I have not said the guy doesn't deserve due process, he does because that is what this country is about.
My comment was about an attorney who would actually want to represent him cosidering what we know.
