Why was Sandusky able to use the facilities after the allegations came out??
He agreed to not frick little boys in the shower room anymore in exchange.
Seriously though, this is just sickening.

too bad this story couldn't hit at this time last year during the Cam Newton crap.

I wouldn't be surprised is they try to gag him again...this is why they need to keep him as an employee.
Yeah, PSU needs to put him in some office somewhere away from operations and out of the spotlight. Probably would satisfy everyone, unless he is found to have perjured himself.

The real question though is will the authorities go after him for it?

i think this whole thing is karma for giving les miles his only non-conference loss at lsu
In case you're just tuning in, this has nothing to do with football. I know you are being sarcastic. At this point I'd like to take a time machine back to that day.

This whole thing just reeks of a cover up. The "surprising" retirement of Sandusky in 99' doesn't look so much like it was out of left field now. That had to have been Penn State administration and/or Paterno trying to save face. When the real story about the cover up comes out this could be devastating for the entire university. If money changed hands at any time then wow.

he was asked to resign and refused
What a fricknut.
Probably on advice from attorney.
I wouldn't be surprised if part of it is he believes he is right in what he did and resigning would say otherwise.

Boy, Matt Millen is totally in denial here. He is way too attached to Paterno and Sandusky to be commenting on this
I hate Matt Millen in general because I consider him the most annoying kind of stupid. The kind of person who doesn't realize he is an idiot and thinks he has a lot of knowledge to share (insert detroit lions GM reference here)
But I have some sympathy for HIM (not Joe Pa or Sandusky). I haven't seen anything yet that indicates he knew anything about this and it has to be crushing to see men you idolized revealed as a hypocrite and pederast

How much of a coincidence is it that this story did not break at the same time the LSU-Alabama game was about to be played?

It came out when it got leaked/he got arrested. This is way above any football game, this is life altering.

Mandel said they were talking about it in the press box pregame

I know, which is why I said he is too close to the situation to be commenting. Not in an involved sense, but with the individuals.

I hope there is something missing in the reported information. I don't have "sports heroes", but JoePa has been one of those guys that I have always had nothing but the utmost respect for. If true, taking the "not my problem" stance when you know kids are being sexually abused should be a crime.

I have not seen a single entity place the victims first in any of the circumstances surrounding this case. To not consider that the NCAA would somehow try to delay the sh*t storm that was about to over take the entire sports world so that they could reap as much monetary benefits from "the biggest game ever" would be naive.

It appears PSU has had some good ole boy network for a long time where they continually recycle from within. JoPa probably should have stepped down years ago when PSU fell on hard times (on the field.)
