I saw Rory's second shot on 10. That thing started low and left. I question whether or not he meant to hit that.

Pretty much. I'm surprised the PGA didn't enact it, but, it's never been used in a major.
The USGA doesn't believe in it. They don't even use ball in hand for qualifiers

Rickie's majors record this year is awesome too. It's shame he didn't get one, but what a great year.

He just said the ball flight was 30ft lower than what he was trying to do and it went 15yards left from the line he was aiming at. And flat out said it was a lucky shot

What a great miss though. That was like Phil's at the Open Championship, but Phil pured it.
