Watching the interview now. Pretty cool that he actually said he was lucky.

I hate that he hit a lucky shot to win though.

Every golf tournament is basically won with a lucky shot and/or break at some point in the tournament.
The following 8 holes were just disgusting in their precision

Yes it is. He speaks from the heart with no PC BS.

Not a 280 yard lucky shot. There's a difference in good/bad breaks and a 280 mishit 3w that ends up 6 feet from the cup

It's essentially a 1 shot break. It's no different than a ball heading into the hazard that doesn't go in, or a ball heading OB that hits a tree and ends up in the fairway. Hell, he hit 3 wood OB on that hole Thursday.
Still had to make the putt

Same here. I really love when players / athletes give real answers and not just the same ole generic answer that you always hear... ala Russell Wilson

A 1 shot break gets him into a tie, had it continued to go left if would have been a 2 shot break and they're talking to Phil right now. He was awesome today, I just hate the the pendulum swung his way on such a lucky shot

Roryd is a great champion. He bested some great players with stellar play down the stretch. If not for a couple of mussed 5 footers on the front it wouldn't have been close. He has the gas the firepower and the guile.
