The umpire job isn’t easy, but clearly it’s more difficult as you get older. But the union has allowed shitty you don’t umpires to become shittier old umpires.

Huge impact on the running game if catchers have no reason to frame pitches.

That's another piece to me, to some traditionalists and I can understand why, this is a great component. It's bullshite to me though. A catch pulling a ball back up to eye level shouldn't have any impact on it being completely unhittable

how was that brilliant three year run? Was it fun while it lasted?

You got me watching videos of that night. This one is great. Doesnt totally do it justice but kind of captures the scene across the entire city. Hearing the singing and car horns, fireworks, madness. That was a good walk down memory lane.

Speaking as someone who was out running errands all day, it’s the kind of cold right now that you can’t warm up from. Gets to your bones. It’s in the low 40s with humidity and was raining all day.

That’s probably kept some people either at home or in the concourses.

ETA: if you can’t see my profile, I live in St. Louis, that’s why me being out in the weather was relevant

Can’t ask for better results from the Lizard against this lineup.

Offense needs to nut it’s shriveled balls up though.

I have a feeling that the Nats will be going to the WS where they will be defeated by the Yankees.

It's 43 degrees with a nice breeze. I passed up seats for tonight. not doing that shite, especially when it's cold, windy, and they are playing like shite. Been there, done that.

Says a fan of a team who averages 7+k less fans per game, with a great team, while Cardinals have mediocre team, fans pissed off, and still pack it.
