Got news for you, hockey is year round in the USA too. My youngest plays just as much hockey over the summer as he does the winter. Practice couple times a week. Week long camps. Multiple tournaments.
USA Hockey has caught up to Hockey Canada and is taking over the sport by the sheer volume of numbers of kids playing all over the USA now.
My oldest played Junior hockey in Texas. He's played in Louisiana, Shreveport Drillers.
Freaking great sport that you Southern boys would love. Speed, skill, violence. It's got it all.

This Stanley Cup finals is already entering the realm of all-timers, and we're only 3 games in.

This is true...I just feel like even if Knights hold on to squeak this out, Car has momentum going into game 4.
Confidence I guess is more the correct term, even if they don't complete the insane comeback

go watch juniors especially memorial cup.
Grew up watching Medicine Hat Tigers games in the 80’s when they won two Memorial Cups in ‘87 and ‘88. So many good players on those teams led by Trevor Linden. Mark Fitzpatrick in goal. Barry Melrose coached that last squad. Good times.

I will admit, Memorial Cup is bigger than the Clark Cup (USHL) and Robertson Cup (NAHL).
Major Juniors in Canada is on the level of CFB in the USA.

I hand it to you for having kids in hockey. The game today is soooo expensive. Talk about sacrifice.
When I was a kid, there was the expression….’A kid on ice is a kid out of hot water.’ Maybe they still say that. I don’t know.
Great sport with so many cool opportunities.
Go Whalers!
