Goalie had it covered, ref lost sight of puck so he blew the whistle. As he's blowing it Buffalo whacks the goalies stick jostling the puck loose, trickling out where they put it in the net.

It's bang, bang but it was the correct call.

Refs dropped the ball on the "too many man call" that wasn't made on the Habs shortly after. It happens.

yeah, I don't think anyone will argue that the refs haven't fricked Buffalo on every questionable call tonight.

The ref blows the whistle when he loses sight of the puck, not when he has confirmation the goalie has it covered. The goalie had it between his legs, therefore, out of sight. He was correct on blowing the whistle.
