Avs have to win this one as they have the worst home ice advantage in the NHL

Avs are in big trouble now - they have to win at least 1 in Dallas since they are doomed at Pin Drop Arena in Games 3 & 4

You come in here once a year to diss the Avs home ice

I’m all for trash talking teams but you’re just wrong - how about Toronto’s funeral home of an arena

Seems dumb to me that Dallas, Colorado, Winnipeg, and St. Louis will all have played two playoff games before Tampa Bay and Florida play one.

The Avs poor home ice is because of their Game 6 loss to the Stars in 1999. It cemented that arena as a bad home ice arena

is home ice that big an advantage? I bet the one seeds to win it all since neither were even the top 2 favorites in their conference to make it through the conference finals

Their odds have increased slightly now but thought I got decent odds based on their home ice advantage

I’d say yes and no. It’s not as important as some other sports (football, for example), but there’s no doubt that there’s some comfort there and extra boosts of energy at times of the boys feeding off the crowd’s energy. At the end of they day you want it, but don’t NEED it.

Colorado has a distinct advantage of the altitude that sometimes shows its effects on visiting teams in the third period.

I'm not sure having a seven second 5 on 3 is worth burning your time out on, especially when it is only the second period of a tie game.

made a post last year how frustrating it was that the kings had botched the tear down

think i might have been wrong. this really feels like one of those darryl sutter teams

beat you with forward depth and forechecking and let the defense suffocate a game out after taking a lead

Kings defense is looking really good tonight. Edmonton has gone 16 minutes without a shot on goal.

i don’t follow hockey closely but seemed odd to me the 1 seeds were both between +1000 to +1100 behind a handful of teams to win the cup compared to other sports where the 1 seeds are typically the favorites to win the championship
