best freshman in the state closing it out. Hopefully future LSU guy.

Agreed, but it was too far gone by the time he came into the game. He committed to LSU as an 8th grader. Surprised we didn’t see him sooner.

Outstanding year. I look forward to the rematch next year. WM returns all 3 starting pitchers as well as 5 in the field.

Statistically speaking, prolly most dominant team in LA hs baseball history and best barbe team of all time.

I'm all for acknowledging the greatness of both the Barbe and Jesuit baseball programs and another reason to hate this stupid split in Louisiana.

And had to face two of the final four teams during the regular season. Then faced a very powerful WM team with all their weapons. They are deserving the praise given.

Congrats to Barbe.
Huge 7th inning with the grand slam HR sealed the deal for the Bucs.

WM has nothing to hang their heads about.
An outstanding year for the Rebs. Still lots of talent coming back next year for WM.
WM graduates Pearson and a couple of other key players.

WM will be a contender for years to come.

Barbe's district alone was very tough with #3 Sulphur and #4 Sam Houston in the same district as #2 and state champion Barbe! Congrats to a very scrappy and young Iowa team as well!

Negative ghost rider. All of the dudes come back. Federico, Pearson, and Hawsey will be seniors. Fergie-the starter today that shut Barbe down-is a sophomore. Garner, the best freshman in the state that’s committed to LSU, is obviously a freshman. WM loses SS, 2b, 1B, and LF. I’m sure Hawsey will go back to 1b next year. Pearson in CF. Replace the corners basically and middle IF. Catchers both return, they’re both sophomores.

Exactly. Jesuit like Alabama in football, claim as many titles from way back and then beat our chests.

Well Jesuit should be glad there is a split now. They wouldn’t have made it out of the 3rd round if there wasn’t a split for the past 10 years.

10-4 on that.

I thought I heard the radio play-by-play guy say that Pearson was a senior.

I heard wrong.

And most schools in Swla didn’t even starting playing hs baseball until the mid to late 80s
barbe started in 1977 not the 90s

Sulphur, St. Louis even longer…..weak counter

Owl is right they are the goat program -

edit barbe started in 1972 and jesuit no titles in 90s.

last 25 years barbe is the benchmark -

over the long haul it's the Jays... and i am NOT a catholic league guy.

Who in swla didn’t start playing baseball till the 90s - that’s a “power”

When I said best freshman in the state I was talking jd Alexander btw, the one who closed it for barbe.

If he learns to work like LaSalle he will end up the best pitcher and hitter to ever play at barbe, has that kind of potential.

I didn’t say all, I said many and didn’t name specific schools. But that’s fine, do Cechinni’s time at barbe vs same time frame at jesuit. It’s double.

Nobody cares about titles from the 70s&80s when many schools didn’t play

Yeah I was messing with you because Garner is actually the #1 ranked freshman in the state. He sits 91 from the left side and has a nasty slider to go with it. These kids are crazy talented.
