Sulphur last chance in T7 down 5-1, graphic still says 4-1 for some reason
Another great play by Barbe SS, 1 out
Another 6-3, 2 outs
Sulphur has guys on 1st and 2nd, didn’t see how
HBP after long AB, bases loaded. Barbe pulling Victorian
Bases loaded, 2 outs, tying run at the plate. Strikeout to end it. Barbe wins 5-1

Everyone on here has said Barbe is overrated all year. I guess we will find out.
I guess 42-1 and giving up 43 runs in 43 games is overrated but whatever.

They’re not. They’re a machine and they may run rule WM. I watched both teams play tonight and the talent level isn’t even on the same level, imo.

Barbe had a 2 RBI triple that made it 4-1 that definitely should’ve been out 3. Maybe the game is different without that but the 2 run homer early for Barbe proved to be enough runs and Sulphurs defense had nothing to do with that

Yeah, I’m from LC and have followed the Barbe system for decades and this team has about 10 players that will play D1 ball

Don’t get me wrong. Victorian threw a gem. So I’m not taking anything away from him.
But don’t forget Sulphur had a runner dead to rights in a run down and the SS dropped the ball. Then a pop up to the catcher was lost and literally landed 4 feet from him. Those are TWO extra outs, extra chances, that were given to Barbe on top of the triple that the RF should have caught. That ball was in the air for 10 seconds. Routine plays not made. Should’ve been out of that inning 2-1.
