Demarcus has been humbled with his injuries. He is a different guy now. Not quite the same player he was.. well we are saying that now... it may not be the case in actuality.

Correct me if I'm wrong but this looks like it could trigger gift taxes, which are basically double taxation so it might not be a good idea to advertise it.

17 million dollars a year is slightly high. I expected him to get 15 mill per next year on the open market.
Next year tons and tons more teams will have cap space so I don't expect the same deals next year as were made this year. Many guys will get vastly overpaid next year.
I think the slight overpay is just reflective of how much they wanted him here and needed the deal to get done, and paying a premium on not worry about the position for 3 years.
I don't think the two mill per or so extra is that big a deal. I am an adams fan so its all good with me. I think the culture fit that this team needs is a big plus. This team needed a vocal guy that is a damn dog, and Adams has that. Bledsoe too.

And that number will probably change next year. Several centers are going to get big raises next year.
