UConn THRASHED UK.
This is false. UK faced UConn in Maui. UK was worn out before halftime. It was their 3rd game in 3 days. Brandon Knight was terrible shooting and Jorts had something around 1 point. This game means nothing. If you think it does, I direct you to UK's 6-0 record against teams that beat them in a previous matchup.

I am rooting for anybody but UConn
VCU or Butler for David vs. Goliath, and Kentucky b/c it'll be fun to see the title vacated in two years when Calipari has moved on to the Cavs

They were talking about Coach Cal and what exactly CBS will say (on TV) about his Final Four record and if the appearances count...
On paper, the appearances do count but his record doesnt
So the stat graphic during the game will basically just say "3rd Final Four, W/L 0-0"

VCU beats Butler by double digits.
Kentucky beats UConn close.
VCU stuns the nation and brings a title to Richmond.

I've got Butler and Kentucky with UK winning it all.

I would like for Butler to win, but losing the title game and then coming all the way back to win it is the stuff Disney movies are made of. Can't see it happening. I would rather Butler lose in the Final 4 than lose in the Finals again. That would be too painful to watch.
Either way I see Kentucky beating UConn and ultimately Butler in the Finals.

UConn THRASHED UK.
As a long time UK fan, due to actually living there and going to UK,
and attending games, I can only hope that the team has matured and also hope that they hit some open 3's.
If you've watched this team since the SEC Tournament and can't come to the conclusion that they have already matured then I'm not real sure what you've been watching. Harrellson, Liggins, and Miller certainly weren't the players they've been since late February. That UConn game was in late November.
And that's not a declaration of a UK win, because it's not like UConn has cake walked into this thing. With the way some of the NCAA games have been called, will Walker be able to maintain as one of the most frequent NCAA players to make it to the charity stripe? Can his big men step up and neutralize Harrellson and Jones?
Either way it'll be fun to watch and a totally different matchup then the one in November. Talk about a true test of how far you've come when you can meet up with a team you played that early in the season this late in the post-season.

Less the FSU game, Virginia-Commonwealth has dominated this tournament. Kentucky has beaten the best competition, but if VCU can repeat the KU performance (which I doubt) I don't know if they can be beaten. I read something interesting on a Kentucky board about Brandon knight and Kemba walker...basically it was if knight attempted as many shots as Kemba he would score the same amount or more bases on percentages....kind of hard to go by that but interesting nonetheless

The semis are on Saturday and the final is on Monday night -- the same it has been for the last 40 years. Are you from Mars -- or are you just retarded?

Both UK and UConn are better now than they were back in Maui.
For example, Jeremy Lamb has emerged as a legit second scorer for UConn. When they don't isolate Kemba Walker, they run off ball screens for Lamb. They didn't do that as much back in the early part of the season.
Also, Shabazz Napier has emerged for UConn. If he plays like he has been playing (disruptive force that sparks UConn to get out on the break) - then UK might have a difficult time stopping UConn.
It will be interesting to see how Coach Cal decides to guard Walker. If I'm the coach, I don't double team him because he'll just dish to Lamb for the outside jumper.
What I would do it take my best face up defender with some body length (long arms, good leaper), and tell him to just hound Walker and try to disrupt him.
Walker taking bothered shots is much better than Lamb taking open Js. UK doesn't have to stop Walker, just limit him.

So long as VCU continues to have success with the drive-and-dish-to-open-three game, they will be tough to beat.
But teams that live and die by the 3 tend to dry up sooner or later. They aren't extremely diverse, and despite Skeen they aren't great down low.
Especially not matched up against Matt Howard.
