end of the catholic league.

It will be interesting to see what happens with Rummel, Jesuit, and BM. Also, since the number of schools that will be in 5A in the BR/Gonzales area is going up how will this effect the district with Dutchtown, St. Amant, EA, HHS, DHS, and ESJ?

end of the catholic league.
Why is that, I thought St.aug was at the cutoff, and BM, Jesuit, and Rummel have enough for 5a.

st aug in danger still.. that's why....

Think you have to take all schools that play football and add them up. Think that equals either 283 or 284. Then you divide that number by 5 and it gives you app 57. Therefore you should have app 57 schools in each classification. That would mean Sam Houston would now become 5A and STM would go down to 4A.

Here's what my old HS district, from 2A in Baton Rouge, would probably look like if those numbers hold up:
University Lab 406
Northeast 384
Redemptorist 364
Episcopal 362
Capitol for Boys 310
St. Helena Central 300
Dunham 267
All six of the EBR schools would definitely be there. The question is whether St. Helena would be lumped in with them or grouped with a bunch of the Hammond and Mandeville schools instead.

From what I have heard for 5A in Metro BR, one district would be McKinley, Woodlawn, CHS-BR., St Amant, EA, and Dutchtown. The other being Central, Zachary, Scotlandville, Live Oak, Denham, and Walker.

it will not be decided by dividing the amount of schools equally...it will be decided by numbers.....some schools close to going up or down in classification will slide up or down depending on the cut off numbers determined by the lhsaa......

they're talking about possibly bonnabel, ehret, higgins, king, west jeff, chalmette, rummel, jesuit, and brother martin
9 teams, 8 district games?
maybe andrew jackson should be a high school again, take all the students who don't like sports
i think that used to give us an advantage. we used to get all the football players, but it kept us in 4A or even once 3A

That would be a terrible district, they need to find a way to keep Shaw and St.Aug in 5A.
