You're just plain wrong.

Tyran smith is at left tackle, don't need.
We are cutting our center because he is grossly overpaid, so it is in fact a needed position
This Fredrick fellow played one year at c the rest at guard, he could very well move over to guard.

So the one trying to back taking a center in the first round is telling others to educate themselves?

Frederick is a center through and through. His foot speed is awful, there is no way he can play guard and pull on sweep plays.

This guy would have been a low 2nd-3rd rounder and it's not like he's the only good center in this draft.

It's a stupid pick any way a fan tries to positively spin it

Cowboy fans who are happy this morning are like their GM - they don't understand the draft. Arguing over whether or not Frederick is a good player is missing the point. He, or other similarly talented centers, would be available later on. The Cowboys pulled the trigger too early and are not getting any value from moving down. I wonder who the scouts and head coach wanted to pick?

Not to mention the fact they didn't get enough from the niners when they moved back. But it's not surprising since they have shite the bed in every draft since Jimmy left.

I don't think any Cowboys fans are 'happy' with the pick. I think most of us have no clue about this guy, and this pick was kind of out of left field.
I'm not upset though, there are plenty more picks in the draft. We can still have a good draft, and the Cowboys have been needing to draft more OL.
I'm just happy we have a person to take Phil Costa's spot at Center. Our OL was so bad the past few years that I won't complain if we draft 2 more OL and just cut 3/5 of the starters.

Yeah, I'm more about filling needs than getting value relative to the draft order. It's easy to hand out A's and F's during the draft, but no one knows how these guys will pan out. Dallas needs O line, and got the best center available. Romo just got that much better.

This is, of course, assuming that Frederick doesn't suck. We will see.

This right here

As a Cowboys fan, I'm extremely disappointed in last night. We traded down, and didn't take advantage with what was on the board. He could've easily been on the board later on for us if they had fricking waited. I'm really thinking about becoming a Texans fan because they don't pull dumb shite like this all the damn time. Starting to get real old

Most have no clue about him because he is supposed to be a late second to third round pick, that's why most don't have a clue

I was all for trading back until Floyd started dropping. Pick him at 18 then grab Barrett Jones in the 2nd or 3rd round. That's the smart thing to do. Quality value for both spots.

I was livid when they traded the pick with Floyd on the board, THEN they only get a 3rd for moving back and to top it, Jerrah picks a fricking center in the first round.

You don't know that he would have. You have no idea what other teams are thinking. As for the Texans, go right on ahead. You'll probably be a happier person.

Here's an article that might get to step back from the ledge aggie. Or go ahead and jump off, I don't really care. As a Cowboys fan I hate our fans just as much as the rest of the NFL. I get so tired of it.

You say he can't play guard at the NFL level. Garrett disagrees.
Geno Smith was a first round grade, didn't get drafted. So does that mean every team in the first round whiffed?
You draft for need, not based on best player available. The need at safety isn't as high as OL. Not to mention there are still safeties on the board, did you see how fast OL was getting ripped off?

Join that other dude and go watch the Texans.

So if they drafted who you wanted you would have thought Garrett made a good decision. If he thought Floyd would be a good DT you'd agree.

The fact that he thinks this guy can come in an have a good impact and be a starter but you don't agree means Garrett is an idiot?

its a good pick because Fredricks does not get beat head on. he is a freaking bull at the point of attach with a great punch. he gets his hands inside quickly on DTs and moves them in the run game. I don't care that his 40 time is slower than mine. when did Centers start running footraces? he is quick in small spaces validated by his workouts.

Romo gets pressured up the middle more than anything and has for years. Philly and NY have brought people over the C and G as their signature blitzes for years and it causes major probs.

Fredricks will aleviate that problem immediately if not sooner.

I wish someone had a screen cap of Red Balls' face when Jerry passed on Floyd and traded back. it was priceless. looked like he just watched a video of his wife and the mailman

My only issues are not getting enough from SF and it is likely a solid OG/C could have been had later allowing the selection of Elam at 31, or bypass the trade altogether and get Floyd then Fredrick/Jones if that's what you wanted.

But hell, he hasn't taken a snap, and it's not like 2nd round players suck or anything. Chill, people. The meat of this draft is yet to come for everyone. Thin at the top, but ridiculously deep from 25-100. Today is the day.
