That's exactly what the analysts said.

They were not very complimentary, saying if you come into the combine without even playing last season and have character issues that looking like you haven't bothered to prepare is NOT a good thing.

There are very few things that matter less than the Bench Press for a CB.

In fact, the bench press is worthless for most players, since most of blocking and things like that is about leverage, balance, and lower body strength combined with upper body strength.

Yes, but putting up a 4 just makes it looks like Honey Badger really DON'T give a shite. They showed him bench pressing and it looked like he flat gave up.

With all the other concerns about him, showing up and appearing to blow it off is worse than not doing it all.

No. That's not the case at all. It shows that he can do 4 reps on the bench press. Lots of CBs have graded out weak on the press. Lots.

How he does in interviews and the agility drills will determine where he gets drafted.

I'm less impressed with Damontre Moore's 12 reps.

Since you posted it on rant I figured it would be good here

quote:

In 2011 - the Top 15 CBs put up between 18 and 27
In 2012 - the Top 15 CBs put up between 15 and 24

9-12 was the middle of the pack.

He had no practice, film, or anything to do. He could have been lifting and getting speed drills done. I'd never have left the weight room if I was trying to get into the NFL.

You keep referencing this number. Is the 5'7 from the combine weigh in and measurements? The link below shows his height as 5'9.

Too bad his arms weren't 31 & 7/8th, ball would have crossed the goal line.

Yeah with character issues I don't think NFL teams wanted to see TM come in straight off the couch. 4 reps???

Ok boss.

That was the last height I had heard when they were evaluating his draft stock before he got in trouble. It was 5'7" this or 5'8" I didn't look up his measurements from the combine.
