I'll admit StrongBack I overlooked Mike Evans' impressive measureables in addition to his immense talent(which I was always aware of dating back to Texas A&M)

But back to the original argument, Julio, AB and OBJ should be the 3 highest-paid WRs in football go big or go home.

Kelvin Benjamin:
6'5"
243lbs
prolly 260lbs these days.
GOAT
Even has a 1,000 yard season

I'm looking forward to your next thread... Mike Evans is the best WR in the NFL.
Reasoning?
He's big.

He would be an idiot to not demand that. He wont get it, but he should at least try to start the negotiation there.
Exactly
I imagine every player in the NFL wants to be the highest paid player as they should.
Hell I'd like to be the highest paid non player myself

I think OBJ knows hes not getting QB money. He will get a better deal than AB as he should because although they are both tier 1 wr in the league OBJ is younger with his prime ahead of him.
That being said he'd be better off trying to get paid from the giants if he'd reign it in on the antics and start being a better team player.
Of course if he did that he might not be making 10 mil/year in endorsements either so idk...

And talented as well, fulfills the eye test

1,300 yds/11 TDs/season=/=team player? Doesn't compute, that's the epitome of a WR's obligated performance between the white lines, maybe the other 21 players should be more accountable regarding their performance relative to the Giants.

Terrelle Pryor:
6'6"
240lbs
4.38 40
1,007 yards with Browns (translates to 1,938 yards on actual NFL team)

He needs to chill on the distractions. The ejections, penalties, fg nets, etc.
I like OBJ, but sometimes he can be a distraction. I know most great wr's are, but his game speaks plenty.

As long as he's performing the way he performs, all that other stuff is secondary. I don't see anyone else on the Giants elevating their game like Odell is doing and the fact the media is creating this distraction narrative, which precluded TO from being inducted into the HOF his first 2 years of eligibility, isn't fair to him and to people who watch and enjoy football.

FYI I submitted DT and Larry initially because they were the two I recalled off the top of my head but your submissions are impressive

How does the 3rd or 4th best WR in the league deserves to be paid the best?
Posted on 7/28/17 at 1:17 pm to jj06
Double-digit receiving TDs each year since he's been in the league under his rookie contract

quote:Thank you. I was trying to think with the mindset of "if I didn't know anything about the NFL and was judging a player's ability strictly on size alone and nothing else." Turns out, you come up with some ridiculous "best of" WRs - like Terrell Pryor, Kelvin Benjamin, Demaryius Thomas, Mike Evans.

When it comes to refusing to admit you were wrong, I'd say that you are reaching Boom's level, if you're not there already.

He's not even the best receiver in the NFL.
That's not how this stuff works. Brady isn't the highest paid QB, for example.

Correct. It's all about when your contract comes up for renewal.
Posted on 7/28/17 at 3:41 pm to slackster
To be fair, Brady isn't the best QB either.

Good luck with that.
To be fair, he's making Manning look like an almost viable starting QB.

Gotta give Larry respect for still performing at a high level at the ripe age of 33, likely post another 1,000 yd receiving season. Already at 1,000 receptions 14,000 receiving yards #FirstBallot
