What about boxing or MMA?

There has to be a line somewhere.

Mma is much more violent than football, but I'm sure if my son was getting his face caved in he wouldn't be that passionate about it

And he wouldn't do it

Football is quite common around the nation, in all of our communities, apart of our culture..MMA not so much it takes a certain beast to enroll in that

why? That's clearly that kid's passion.

I'm guessing you're backtracking on your original point?

That Walenda family has made a nice living on tight rope walking.

Your kid wants to follow in his footsteps at 14, you're letting him?

And a preemptive plea to stop saying these are terrible examples, man.

Passion is to die apparently

Strapping on pads playing a game within the rules is not the same. Just stop

Football is nowhere near as risky as the said examples

So I won't stop, sorry

So, you do draw the line somewhere? Man, you're not consistent at all.

You just did the same exact thing as Obama, he just draws the line in a different place as you, and neither of you are right or wrong.

Hanging off a tower with one arm is a death wish

Playing a game in which millions have played before is not the same.

I usually don't agree with Obama but he's right

* NFL players know the danger and it's no different than other dangerous jobs in real life.

* It would be his son, and parents can decide what's good or not good for their kids.

What difference does the amount of people who have played before make? We're just now learning the impact that years of football can have on an individual.

Ok and that's the risk envolved, in which education and technology is making strides in lowering the risk.

I'm sorry allowing my kid to hang off a tower and/or playing football is not close to the same

You can't really say that anymore. A kid gets his bell rung. He looks fine but you have no idea what the long term implications of that are for his brain health.

In that respect, it very well might be just as dangerous as MMA and boxing.
