Ok and that's the risk envolved, in which education and technology is making strides in lowering the risk.

I'm sorry allowing my kid to hang off a tower and/or playing football is not close to the same
So what you're saying is that you get to decide where the line should be drawn for every kid, got it.

Of course, certainly if it's based on legality

I probably wouldn't want my son to join the military due to risk, but if it's his passion and he feels it's worth the risk and his calling I would certainly support him
Would certainly discuss the risk, but every man has something they want to become and you can only bottle it up so much.

In that respect, it very well might be just as dangerous as MMA

This country wouldn't have been built with the mentality of today's men

Now it's based on legality? Your position has shifted 3 times now, FWIW.

Oh, and tightrope walking is illegal?

For those who say they won't let their son play football, are you gonna let them drive a car? Let them drink or smoke cigs as they get older? Let them go hunting and operate rifles, shotguns, handguns?

I'm sure you'll let them decide what they want to do, why should football be any different? Yes people get hurt, people get concussions, but those things happen all the time in many different areas of life

Shel311. You're trying really hard huh? Give it up really

If you're to stupid to see the difference between the point I'm trying to making and a stunt man I can't help you.

True. But he said "I would not let my son play pro football."

Good luck with that.

The butt hurt is strong in this thread.

Obama has more power over the wingnuts than they want to admit.

Love the guy. He's done more damage to big government than Jimmy Carter.

I'm trying to understand your point, but you've moved it 3 times.

The last one based on legality is the real confusing one.

Once they demonstrate the ability to do so safely and competently.

quote:

Let them drink

I'll try to set an example of how do so appropriately.

quote:

smoke cigs

Will do everything in my power to prevent them from doing so.

quote:

Let them go hunting and operate rifles, shotguns, handguns

I don't do any of these things so they won't be directly exposed to it.

None of those things is comparable. You can not allow your kid to play football, which would severely impact their ability to do so once they reach legal age. Nothing you do can have that level of impact regarding driving, smoking, hunting when they reach legal age.

Okay dumbass

If it's illegal no will not support

If it's totally disregard to his life or others no

If it's a controlled sport in a controlled environment where the risk are understood and respected. Yes

If he is 18 and not living under my roof and he wants to hang off 1000 foot towers. No but I can't control that
