The ESPYs are completely fake awards.

Sorry, I'm going with the Knicks as the best story of the year. The Comeback, the Tip-In, everything about their playoff run was amazing. It's cool that the U.S.A. hockey team won, but beating Canada in Italy ain't the same thing as the Miracle On Ice. As an Upstate New Yorker who lived all that growing up, there's really no comparison. The Knicks championship has been a long time coming and I enjoyed the victory way more than I was expecting.

Hockey is a much better sport than basketball, but what the Knicks accomplished is far more impressive than what U.S. Hockey accomplished. Well deserved for the Knicks.

Actually, I think that's exactly how a playoff system works. See, the team who wins the playoffs is crowned as the best team for that year. It's science.
