We probably are done with CFB hires for HC in FBS, who made the best hire or most interesting hire?

I think the best hire and it pains me to say this was Coog High with Willie Fritz. Going into a situation that can be set up for playoff runs and talent near the school. I also want to say IU with Cignetti made a good hire, but how long does he stay?

Thoughts or opinions?

Also if want to take this a different way, who made the worst hire?

And for extra credit which school dodged a bullet by not hiring someone the media wanted them to hire in past 3 years? Example can be like Mel Tucker and LSU.

U-Dub did well with Fisch, but he is going to have a difficult time living up to DeBoer and with the move to the B1G. I wouldn't have minded him at Michigan.

I was about to say smith. Especially given the circumstances at Michigan state right now that was a phenomenal hire.

He won’t get them over the hump tomorrow or anything but give them 3/4 years and I think they’ll be a respectable program again.

Not bad with Fritz. But I think Fisch at Washington is a great hire. De Boer is in a no win situation at Alabama. Even if he goes 11-1 or 10-2 each year he's a bum, unfortunately. Following a legend is an almost impossible task. God forbid if he goes 9-3.....8-4 even witn major injuries would seal his fate.

They hired the guy from Troy correct?

As in bad hires, it was actually not firing someone, with Sam Pittman at Pig. They had to move it is a sinking ship and he just is not the guy it seems.

That is so much crap. 99% of the Bama fans are reasonable and expect an adjustment period. Yet, the mouth breathers on here will focus on the minute amount of Twitter warriors (who most likely aren't even Bama fans) and scream, "See! Those Tide fans are melting!"

Nick Saban went undefeated twice in 17 years, yet people spew this ignorant bullshite like it's gospel.

Yes...of one season, at best.

Don't fool yourself. If Alabama is not in the playoffs in the 2025 season there will be very loud cries for a coaching change.

That's the downside of greatness. Expectations don't go backwards.

BY far - ALABAMA and it's not even close

This new Alabama head coach is going to wreck the SEC while Nick Saban pulls the stings from his office at Bryan Denny Stadium

If I told you the same was true about LSU fans, you would laugh. Same thing I do when reading this.

The last time Alabama hired a coach from the state of Washington, it ended very quickly..
