That’s a lot of words to tell us that ESPN and the selection committee fricked Notre Dame over for a shitty Alabama team.

ND is still a top 10-15 program.

Its needs to be 100 yards away from the 10-15 rank playground. It's been caught being there for the wrong reasons too many times.

You do realize that they made it to championship game last year, right?

Yes, but message boards live on final pronouncements week to week and Notre Dame didn’t get picked by a committee this year so it’s over for them. Get the shovels.

Not sure what the OP does if ND right back in playoffs next year.

Kinda happens with favorable rankings and cherry picked schedules AND not having to compete for a Conference Title.

With the guarantee in place it'll be hard for them to not make it.

Notre Dame has churned through coaches since 1988 and nobody has even been able to win a major bowl game really. Their record since BCS became a thing is horrendous with most their major bowl or playoff games being uncompetitive blowouts. ND is a relic of a program. It’s been over for them for decades yet people still hold out hope. It’s pitiful.

unpopular opinion

Us older folks still remember being fricked by the Leprechauns in 1969. One of Mac’s best teams, no bowl game. So, this is long standing hate, never mind their cupcake schedule, and their own TV network with no revenue sharing.

Them being shunned, even on the backs of an Alabama mulligan that brought 2011 PTSD cringes, delighted me, as it should all LSU fans.

Now lets do championships and head to head meetings in that time frame.

Notre Dame is a god damn joke on the big stage and has been for decades now. At what point do people realize this?

ND is still a solid program but continues to be artificially propped up in the rankings. Play a soft schedule, get gifted a playoff spot and has postseason success here and there.

Any decent program will have some level of success if given an annual playoff spot. No one will respect them until they play a Big 10/SEC schedule with continued success.

No clue that ND's record in BCS/4 Team Playoff/12 Team playoff is absolutely abysmal no matter who the coach was? ND is trying to run a 1975 business model in 2025. Its no longer the poll era where they are getting votes from a bunch of northern catholic sportswriters just because. It's been over for ND for a while now. An LSU fan should know this since Kelly coached there and got his doors blown off in just about every single big post season game he was in there

Calm down big guy. It’s only Monday morning save some rant for the rest of the week.

Bet Freeman lasts longer than the black hoodie of choke.

Those poor players. The NFL All-Star team couldn’t wade through that daunting schedule. Especially all three road games they play.

2026 Notre Dame schedule
vs. Wisconsin (Lambeau Field)
vs. Rice
vs. Michigan State
at Purdue
at UNC
vs. Navy
vs. Miami
vs. Boston College
vs. SMU
at Syracuse
vs. Stanford
vs. USC

Since 1988 which was ND's last national Championship Alabama has 7 national championships including one where they beat Brian Kelly who was supposed to win a NC at LSU remember? Or at least that is what LSU fans told us so bad the game was over at halftime. ND isn't going to win shite with Freeman or anyone else. If DeBoer fails he will be fired and someone else will win at Bama. It's like you haven't been paying attention the last 35 years
