I seriously hope that hit isn't the most talked thing about the game tonight. This game has been too good for it to be overshadowed by a missed call.

45 for ND had a kill shot on 4 for Texas on that return and laid off. That's what calling targeting does to effect the game.

Not at all. Blatant targeting is leaving your feet while leading with the crown of your helmet. The Texas defender did neither.

Yup, the defender is aiming where the receiver's chest would be. Hunter lowered his head and created the helmet contact. You can't blame the defender in that situation.
