Why does race of the parent that isn’t black get pushed to to background or secondarily on ESPN and other places? (Obama ignored race of the one parent who actually raised him and then gave some beta victim statement about that’s how the world views him).

From ESPN’s gamecast recap
quote:

In the final, Irish coach Marcus Freeman will try to become the first black coach to win the title at college football’s highest level. Freeman, whose mother is South Korean, also is the first coach of asian heritage to get this far.

The black part gets linked to an additional story about possibility of winner being first black coach while making sure to push narrative of being behind other major college sports while the asian part gets no additional links on top of being an afterthought in the first place (by ESPN not Freeman).

Regardless I am just finding out about this game. I forgot about it, and with weather didn’t check out much on sports to get reminded. Thursday night big college games outside of holiday scheduling seems weird. I was expecting one game to be tonight and the other tomorrow night.

Allar seems to have really screwed up trying to throw the ball away by throwing against his body while being rushed on a first down. If nothing else give your team a chance to go to overtime. Alleged first round pick with that and only 135 yards passing is awful.

He’s my favorite coach in CFB right now and one of my top 2-3 of all time.

All time?? Across the entire history of college football with Freeman only having 3 years of HC experience to base this on?

Do you by any chance watch a lot of cuckhold and blacked porn?

What has he done to make you like him THAT much?

To be clear I didn’t say he was the best I said he was one of my favorites of all time.
As to what he’s done:
- Reinstated Mass before games
- chose to convert to Catholicism
- Essentially role ESPN to shove their racism
- I thoroughly respect his approach and demeanor
- He’s a great defensive coach who’s becoming a great head coach

I just respect the MAN.
He’s up there with Bobby Bowden, Dabo, Bob Stoops, and Steve Spurrier for me

If you can’t admit LSU hired the wrong Notre Dame coach you’re an idiot.

Saying that I know there was realistically zero way he was going to be on our radar but even if it didn’t work out we wouldn’t have been saddled to an obscene buyout

I hate that as an LSU fan I’m kind of obligated to pull against Freeman for the sake of our douchebag Kelly

This is my take as well. It’s kind of like being married - your wife’s enemies have to become yours.

Freeman is a great guy, was a great Buckeye and has done a great job at ND. He definitely is a class act and person.

I could see the Bears making a run at him.

Don't put that evil on Freeman, Ricky Bobby.
