If he’s on board great I’ll also look forward to pairing Zion with jrue and AD the next 5 years. If not he can gtfo I’ll take clips/lakers/Celtics/knicks package and roll with that. Either way we ridin

Everyone is mocking the Lakers because they thought that bullying the Pelicans into trading AD to them was a possibility. Now that the Lakers have a very low chance of even negotiating with the Pelicans the tables have turned.
Also the Lakers have the biggest bandwagon fan base in the league. Yes I know they have sucked lately but like cowboys fans they live off their past championships.

Actually the Pelicans look stupid after this.
Lakers gave you the 4th pick and literally every player plus cash exeptions.
If your dumbasses took that you could have easily attracted decent free agent(s) and had a nice team of Jrue, Hart, Kuzma, Ingram, Zion, whomever you choose 4th and your free agents with the extra financial space.
Instead you won't be getting anything near that deal because AD won't sign with Boston so they won't give you a real offer. Knicks won't give you cap space and won't package that well with the 3rd pick. Lakers also won't give you the same deal again either.
This is what they mean when they say pride comes before the fall. Your pride was more important than your success... hence why the previous guy got fired.
AD isn't staying because some kid joined and the reality is Zion will probably leave the moment he gets a legitimate chance if Adam Griffith can't build a serious contender.

1. It's David, not Adam
2. If that happens, it's gonna be Zion's fault. He'll be the superstar, and he'll get his share of the blame
Notice only one significant dude who has ever left New Orleans has done significant winning and that was David West. CP and Baron Davis were chokers, and AD is probably going to a superteam so he doesn't count
3. In your post you're describing the same three teams we've been talking about in this scenario. They all have to bid against each other and will know what the others are offering.
If AD wasn't gonna sign with Boston, that should have reflected in the possible offers we heard rumored from them.

quote:. That is because the Lakers and their fans have this sense of entitlement. They were just so sure that the Pelicans would send Davis there for any shitty trade deal they threw together. Acting as if New Orleans should bow down and just give them Davis because they are the Lakers. They are a historic franchise who deserve it and the media pushed it also.
Here's the thing. Pels fans really seem to dislike the Lakers. Most Laker fans are neutral towards the Pelicans.

If you are honest with yourself you'll figure out why.

No shite, it wasn't their franchise that almost got fricked because a 34 year old declining star and his agent bent the rules to the point of break, with the help of their front office.

I won’t say “never” but the Lakers need a lot better assets than what they have now to jump Boston or New York.
Ball’s always injured, can’t shoot, and has off court issues (family). Ingram’s suffering from DVT which could potentially end his career like Chris Bosh if it goes wrong. And they have the fourth pick in a three player draft.
Going from 11 to 4 is an improvement in pick but it is kind of offset by New York being at 3 with the potential to deliver Barrett or Ja.

So... the Pels would have a team of Zion and a bunch of guys who couldn’t reach the playoffs next to LeBron?

How mad is Lebron right now?
Bigly mad. Lakers nation was going nuts with the possibility of Zion and they ended up with #4 in really what was a 2-3 man draft.
By the way, name for me who was drafted #4 in the past few drafts... I’ll hang up and listen.

Newsflash... if the pelicans would have traded AD to the Lakers before the deadline the Lakers would’ve made the playoffs and not had a lottery pick. DUMBASS!
Lakers aren’t getting AD. He will be in NY. Pelicans need to tell the Knicks get the #2 pick and he’s yours for #2 Knox and Robinson.

Don't worry, the proven wisdom of Kurt Rambis and his inside man Jason Kidd will make it all better for you.
