This whole thing is a joke

Should of had a tourney for all the teams, for fans, or shut it down till next season, which is in less than 2 months.

I actually disagree. I feel like the NHL came up with a reasonable solution to the entire COVID situation (except for the draft lottery stuff). You give an edge to the top teams in each conference, and still give you the playoff feel. I'm excited for it.

Why all the teams? They took the teams that were in or had a legitimate chance of making the playoffs had covid not happened.

Because this is nothing more than a glorified tourney.

They are making the top seed in West play in a round robin to get the top seed. Vegas, who's 8 points off pace has a chance to be top seed.

they are playing in edmonton for fricks sake. This is no stanley cup playoff, it's a glorified tourney

Next season isn't starting in 2 months. It will be cut down to probably 50 games or so. There's no sense playing 70 plus games without crowning a champion. And Edmonton has had fewer coronavirus deaths than anywhere else in the US with NHL teams.

No one cares about this Cup. It will have a big asterisk.

The biggest news of the NHL is Kaprizov siginging with the Wild.

Somewhat agree, but it gives us something to watch for a few months.

I feel like I know everything going on with the NBA bubble and nothing about the NHL.

Nonsense. Should Chicago’s 2013 Cup have one ?

Gameday bump. I have no idea what the format is. I'm just happy to get some games and hope this bubble works.

I see the Caps have the first stadium sportsbook in the country. Nice.

I can't wait to put some bets in at the casinos in Detroit that finally installed books.

2020...the year when we learned to enjoy watching basketball and hockey in August, while wondering if we'll have football in September.

Is this correct?

Seeds 1-4 play a round robin for seeding and teams 5-12 play mini series
5/12
6/11
7/10
8/9
for entry into the playoff.
