Long-term fit or not, given their 5 years of success I would have pegged Bowness to be uniquely qualified to give Cooper hell this series

Nope

I hope we get run off the fricking ice in the third. Make it truly embarrassing (even more so) and see if we have the intestinal fortitude to get back to basics.

Our passing has been fricking hopeless, not to mention the control of those passes by the guys receiving them, shitty and inopportune shift changes, and careless positioning in defense.

It has been this way every single period of this series except for the third period of game one, and was the reason we lost game two of you ask me (shitty passing/pass choice).

The only thing Bowness is qualified for at this point is coaching some minor league team in Yugoslavia

Meanwhile, St. Louis jumps ahead and signs Monty to their staff

With stamkos coming out of nowhere I’ll now say Tampa in 6 instead of Dallas. Looked at scoresheet. Jesus. All the big guys showed up Nikita. Stamkos. Point. Palat. Hedman. Point missed multiple games last series and never expected stamkos to play. If point and him play rest of the way this series is over. Changes the whole complexion of the series. Oh well was a great run Dallas.

I don’t watch a ton of hockey but that looked like a terrible power play

7 combined shots in the final two periods for the Stars

Ignoring the garbage time penalty just now, Tampa only had one PP (2 min minor) over that span

They don't have the horses

They had a lot that last period. Mad they got their shite pushed in. A better answer is winning the next game..but is what it is

If the Bolts show up like this and their best players play like their best players, I don't think the Stars can win. The Lightning are a better team. Stars need Seguin to show up, and they also need this to not turn into a track meet. If this series keeps going end to end, the Lightning are gonna feast.

Tampa has more top end talent, especially in terms of high end skill around the net. Dallas scores with pure aggression from what I've seen. Dallas just can not let up on that aggressive pressure or Tampa's skill will show through. I'm just happy we haven't backed down this playoffs from hard hitting teams. Coleman, Maroon, Paquette, Killorn, etc have enough fight in them to at least return some of it.

Alright, get hyped for back to back games. Friday night drinkfest. Hope the Stars can stay out of the box for a change.
