Bengals TD shouldn't have counted

Could be 9 with the safety

Could be three if they had called the inadvertent whistle. (doesn't matter if the whistle had an affect on the play all that matters is if it was blown or not)

On the “controversial td” the whistle blew right before the ball hit the receivers hands. It didn’t blow as burrow was releasing it

Of course on the other hand if the refs had replayed the down the Raiders may not have had those thirteen seconds when they scored at the end of the half.

Since the whistle was erroneous you should be glad they counted it.

You are correct. In reality the whistle had nothing to do with the outcome of the play, but that is the rule.

This. By the letter of the law it shouldn’t have counted.

But the ref should’ve never blown the whistle. Burrow was clearly in and the DB was beat. Would’ve been a TD whistle or not.

Basically the Bengals should’ve been screwed by a terrible whistle by the refs.

It’s not controversial because it was a legit TD.

Imagine if that would have been a game winner and they would’ve removed the score because of some obscure rule like that. A riot in Cincy would have ensued.

Lol, so rules shouldn’t count because they’re obscure?

In that situation, fans should riot but not because of the rule but because the refs fricked them over by that bad whistle.

Why should a legit TD be ruled no good because of a stupid ref that fricked up

Much like a hold on the other side of the field, away from a run, the whistle didn't change anything and should be ignored.

Cincy needs to score on the first drive. I think Raiders offense puts up more points than the first half. No pass rush by Cincy giving Carr all day to throw

I agree that it’s a bad whistle and the Bengals would’ve been absolutely screwed by the refs but that’s just not what the rules are.
