The TD throw was a good play. People don't l like him because of the way he handled himself in the draft. He came off way too cocky for no reason, and the media way over hyped him and talked about him way too much people were sick of hearing about him. Add all the cockiness in he made his own bed. He's had an okay game he should have thrown two picks also. Showed inaccuracy and showed some flashes of good throws.

The media pushed that narrative based on first hand accounts of coaches who were in the interviews

I agree. That’s how he was in college too - when you strip away the big games against mediocre to bad opponents, he was up and down against good teams. His margin for error will be essentially zero if he sees time during the regular season though, so we’ll see just how high his highs are
