just remember the one where he and June Jones got into it on the sideline.

I remember the one where he was with Oakland and was getting sacked so he just put the ball up for grabs.

Pick six, and the defender was so far from anyone else that he highstepped the last 30 yards.

Basically shows that if you’re fishing for a viable starting QB after the 3rd round, unless you get extremely lucky, you may as well draft another position of need and try again the next year.

True but you can find decent backups which is in no conflict with what you're saying.

Isn’t McCarron the backup behind Watson in Houston?

No. He just signed a 1 year deal with Atlanta.

Are people saying George was a bust? He took at least 4 different teams to the playoffs. He was difficult and maybe a dick. But he was crazy talented and far from a failure..

I wouldn't call him a bust. He wasn't terrible.

But he didn't justify his draft position.

Jeff George had an awesome arm. His throws were a thing of beauty but why a massive headcase. I remember he took the Skins into St. Louis and took down the greatest show on turf on Monday night and it was awesome.

Counter to this would be everyone drafts a QB in the first round regardless of talent.

2. Seattle: Russell Wilson (3rd)

No way he lasts to the third in today's draft?

The thing was his height as I recall. Never mind that he played behind a UW line that averaged something like 6'4".

Russell hasn’t won anything without an elite running game and stud defense.

If only we had a term for QBs like that.

Baker Mayfield went first overall and he's listed at 6'1"

Wilson is listed at 5'11"

He goes in the 1st now.

Most QBs haven't won anything at all by that logic.

There are 32 starting QBs in the NFL

Current Superbowl winners include

Tom Brady
Big Ben
Aaron Rodgers
Russell Wilson
Patrick Mahommes

That's 5/32 starting QBs that have ever won a Superbowl. Only 4 have started in multiple Superbowls and he is one (Rodgers is the only one of the 5 that has not played in multiple)

Maybe because he is running for his life

And as I mentioned he is one of 4 starters to play in multiple Superbowls and one of 5 to actually win one.

Most starting QBs never win one

Probably because Brady won't be around much longer and he may be the presumptive heir to their QB position?
