Eli basically had pretty mediocre stats and won it twice
The Patriots defense that season: 17 ppg
Eli led his team to 17 in the SB so…pretty average performance
The Patriots offense that year: 34.5 ppg
Tucker and that Giants defense gave up 14. Was the Patriots only game under 20pts that year.
In other words you can put up average stats if your defense plays great. If not, you better play better

All I’m saying is that a QB does not have to put up super stats to help a team win a SB.
No one was arguing it was required

So what’s the reason for this thread????
OP just loves posting Josh Allen stats
Posted on 2/17/25 at 9:33 pm to MrFreakinMiyagi
The point of the thread was to show touchdowns by QBs over the last 5 years
Not sure how the point of the thread isn’t quite obvious

Ok. Call it whatever you want, he's putting up great stats. He's also not winning when it matters most.

He lead a TD drive in a playoff game they lost to take the lead with 13 seconds left and never touched the ball again. What exactly did he need to do “when it matters most”?

For the life of me, I keep trying to listen to this discussion, but can't hear over the echo coming from the Bills and Bengals trophy cases.

Score more earlier in the game

I see what Pride meant by bad even for this website
Only 36 on the road against a defense that avg 21 points against. clearly that’s why they lost and not because the defense allowed KC to get into FG range with 13 seconds and then lost a coin toss.

I mean you're picking one out of his 7 seasons in the NFL.
I'd say the same about Lamar Jackson and his 2 MVP's but no SB wins. But a Ravens fan didn't make this thread. Super Bowl wins are a stat unique to QB's in football. He doesn't have them. Congrats on your MVP and lead in TD's, like it matters.

Call me when he does it at 40

Lead the league in passing TDs at 25 in 2002 so yeah

quote:Well, let’s answer my actual question since you were concerned about Allen at 40
Lead the league in passing TDs at 25 in 2002 so yeah
Brady in his ages 23-28 seasons of 2001-2005
Total tds-126
Checked just manning for comparison-165
So, the answer is no, he couldn’t do what Allen did at the same age. I’ll call you at 40
Posted on 2/18/25 at 10:13 am to lsupride87
Certainly there’s no difference in the game styles and game rules during that era and the current one
I can bring up a few things Brady did at 23-28 that Joshy hasn’t done….
Can’t wait for that 40year old follow up

Was manning playing in a Time Machine?

Oh I’m sorry I thought we were talking about Allen vs Brady man, didn’t know you wanted to do another Brady/manning rehash
how many TDs did Allen throw in that era? Brady seemed to have no issue throwing in Allen’s era.
