I’ve never been a conspiracy guy when it comes to the NFL. But just an observation, are hardcore super fans really spending money on the NFL HOF as a vacation? If they are, then good for them. I wish I had that passion. Don’t get wrong, the speeches and everything are special and awesome. But back to the conspiracy part. Do you think THAT many fans show up for their guys, or are they paid to be there? Same thing with the NFL Draft.

There are definitely guys like that out there.
What’s the conspiracy exactly

I have a buddy that made a vacation out of it to see Drew.

I know a few people that made the trip this year. Not my cup of tea but to each is own.

Why would it be a conspiracy?
The HOF is a good tourist destination, and Canton has nice weather this time of year. Why not make the trip to see one of your guys get his gold jacket?

Crowd doesn't look that huge to me.
Much of the crowd is family, friends, teammates, coaches etc.
And a lot of NFL cities are within reasonable driving distance of Canton, OH.
No vacation necessary, you wouldn't even need to stay overnight.

I never been to a Pro Football HOF induction, but have been to three Baseball HOF inductions. It’s a big deal for fans of the teams, especially if the player being inducted is most notable for playing for their’s. Canton is easier to get to than Cooperstown, so it’s completely legit.

I actually flew out of MSY the other day and there was a big group wearing matching Drew Bree’s HOF shirts. I guess it just means that much to some people.

That the NFL paid people to be there. Again, I’m not saying these people are there as a “fake” fan. I honestly am just always amazed that people would take a vacation to Canton for it (maybe because I lived there). If they are real that’s freakin awesome. Like I said, I’d love to have that passion.

Not a bad short trip. When I went a few years back, I visited the Pro Football HOF in Canton in the morning, the waterfall in their joke of a National Park at lunch, Rock and Roll HOF in the afternoon, and an Indians game in the evening.

I mean, if you take a vacation every year and you're a sports fan, why not?
Canton has to be better than Sandusky but people still go to Cedar Point. The baseball HOF is in Cooperstown which can't have much else going for it. History buffs go to Gettysburg and maybe tack on Hershey during the same trip.

Why isn’t this at night anymore?

If you're ever going to go hall of fame weekend seems like the best time. Also not like there's tens of thousands of people there. The stadium only fits 23K and it's not close to full.

I think you're overestimating the number of non-family fans

We were going to go to support Drew but instead I have to drive 10 hours tomorrow to bring my kid back to school.

Is there anything more cringe than an NFL HOF inductee giving his wife all the credit?
Gee Adam, how many kicks did your wife convert, how many millions did she make?
Simps gonna Simp

Wrap it up Adam. You’re a kicker.

Not to mention that his speech is kind of trashy.
Talking about his wife & McAfee holding his balls.
Yeesh
