Drew Brees turns it over a shite ton and the Saints put up gobs of points.

eta: Therefore, Drew Brees sucks.

Sounds like excuses to me, you've blamed defense and special teams for Kelly not blowing the hinges off the door...don't you think the opposing teams are going to try to win on offense and special teams against this Chip system?

Then you are spoiled. When you throw it down the field as much as Drew does, and you throw it 650+ times and are consistently in the 15 or so interception range, that's not bad at all.

I honestly don't get the points you're trying to make, Chip can't adjust to the players he has and his shortcomings on defense? The mark of a great Coach is fit your system to the players you have, not force your system on the players you have

Worst thing chip did was try to prove something in the first game. He blew his 53 play load in the 1st half.

I keep hearing people say that and it doesn't make sense. He has the perfect talent for his system. Yeah they put up a lot of yards but they don't score

Those are his INT totals since coming to NOLA.

Also fumbled it another 49 times.

His YPA is slightly ahead of Ryan, whom Saints fans constantly label a "game manager."

Right, but his apologists/supporters are now turning to the "Vick ain't his guy" excuse in one sentence, and in another still throw out all these awesome stats

Don't get me wrong. Brees blows about 95% of all NFL QBs out of the water.

There's probably 2 or 3 NFL franchises that wouldn't give up their guy for him and that's it.

I have a feeling this thread will be bumped all season long.

Hilarious.

I know, all he ever had at Oregon were Vick clones, fast mobile QB's with decent to great arms who make bad decisions. Difference is Chip isn't beating up on jr high kids anymore

What excuse?

The Eagles offense is putting up numbers, including points (3rd in PPG).

But they will be 1-2.

Despite 2 turnovers, a missed FG, they have still outgained the Chiefs by around 40 yards. The Chiefs have 3 more offensive points than they do.

I don't really know what this means. I suppose any NFL team will win in any way they think they can.

And let's not forget, Eagles are still considered a dream team on offense...not like Kelly is working with the Browns

Actually not true at all.

His QBs at Oregon were semi-mobile and almost all guys who rarely turned it over.
