It’s more than wild. It’s stunning that a very huge group of people would even do such a thing over ONE person.

I don't understand why people get so upset that Swift is a global pop star. I mean, her music isn't for me, but it doesn't make me angry that people love her.
Its not really her herself I have a problem with.

It’s her fans, the price of her concerts and merchandise. Her fans are some of the worst I’ve ever witnessed. 100,000 people sat outside of a stadium where she was performing.

I can’t wait until one city grows some fricking balls and actually enforces the crowd limits they set outside of their stadiums by sending in riot control

Anytime my wife or I make a purchase over $200 we discuss it. And we can’t purchase anything over $200 unless the other agrees to it after looking at our finances.

But go off and act like this is irrational instead of dropping $600 on a concert ticket

Yeah, we don't have like a system or rule or anything, but neither one of us just goes and buys anything expensive for ourselves without discussing it first.

I know you're not young, so you certainly remember the boy band craze of the 90s as well as Michael Jackson. That's pretty much what we have with "Swifties"

No I’m not young, so I remember MJ and even Elvis. But this type of reaction is the Beatles like. They had women passing out as they were getting off the plane. MJ had somewhat of a similar following after his performance at the 1981 Motown awards when he had his Billie Jean performance. That took him to another level. However I have never seen a reaction to just one performer. She is blazing a trail that may never be matched. My daughter and like 4 other friends have already bought tickets for NEXT October in New Orleans. Amazing.

It's been going on since Elvis and The Beatles. Not really stunning at all.

The Chiefs game had a massive ratings boost thanks to the Swifties, hell even the Taylor Swfit subreddit had a massive game thread last week. It’s some really bizarre shite but if you’re looking at this from a business perspective it only make sense to keep promoting her.

My 15 year old wants a damn Chiefs sweatshirt for Christmas. They really crazy!

Get a lighter, too, so that the sweatshirt can be burned in your driveway when Swift and Kelce breakup.

I wouldn't pay to go to a show but I would absolutely go to a Taylor shift show.

Her production looks very impressive. None of the bands i actually like could ever dream to afford a show like that.

Its pathetic. Anyone that spends money for their daughter or wives to go to any of her shite deserve to go bankrupt. My wife asked if she could get tickets to her concert in Cincinnati and I flat out refused. I’ll deal with a pissed off wife for a week rather than send money to that bullshite

Paying to go see Taylor Swift at a football game is ridiculous. However, having issues with those who want to go see her perform because they're fans of her music makes 0 sense. Just because it's not my taste in music and I personally wouldn't go pay to see her doesn't mean I'm going to ridicule people who do. And that goes for any musician or performer.

And as for your other comment, you're not wrong that I wouldn't really enjoy going to a Swift concert with my wife either. That doesn't mean I wouldn't do it though. God forbid you do something for your wife you personally wouldn't like to do but know that it's something she would enjoy.

Anyway, back to the OP - obviously the NFL is going to defend its stance but at least the backlash was so strong that it had to acknowledge it. Combined with even Kelce saying it's been too much I'm willing to bet the NFL pulls back on the reigns some...although not completely.
