Seems like somebody got in their ears that all the kneeling wasn’t a good idea. Majority either stood or stayed in the locker room. Was kind of surprised actually. You could actually argue MLB was way worse with the social justice stuff with all that BS they were pulling a couple of weeks ago with going on the field and then walking off and canceling the game.

The NFL didn't seem too bad. College football was way worse with the pre game shows basically being the BLM show

Yeah the commentators in college football have been more over-the-top with it than the NFL commentators have been.

This behavior is going to irreparably damage sports for many Americans. Will be interesting to see when this foolishness goes away, what the fan response will be.

Would love to see one of these professional franchises go bankrupt and hopefully a trickle effect

Exactly what I noticed

Everyone got faked out

NFL clearly sent the word out because they didnt talk about anything to do with this shite yesterday on NFL Network, RedZone, any of the games. They shut their mouths good.

But college football.... holy shite its constant

We all thought it would be the reverse

The NFL had weeks of watching many other sports react to this. I was also surprised by what I saw. Who knows how many have either cooled down or decided financially it wasn’t smart.

I hope though the reasons were their own. I’d hate for people to sacrifice their values and what they believe in simply for money. But that’s their choice.

ETA: I think the nfl is the one in control between it and the networks. With college football it’s the networks primarily ESPN that are in control. We play when they say and we also schedule matchups (neutral sites) based on what they want. They control the selection show and televise the playoffs and every bowl game. That’s why you saw such a difference in tone. The networks aren’t going to do something the NFL doesn’t want them to do.

Pretty sure the league will survive the tens and tens of people boycotting.

Its clearly that

Disney has gone right over the cliff on this stuff

They dont even care anymore that more people watch local shows on rabbit ears than they watch daytime ESPN anymore. No loss is too much for the cause.

SEC needs to move to FOX too outside the CBS games

The majority of the NFL players have always stood, minus like 1-2 weeks 2 years ago after Trump called them out.

Besides the Falcons and Seahawks, I believe ,actually taking a knee on the field after kickoff .all 22 players on the field did ,i think .

Then the ravens all kneeling for the Anthem but standing for the black national anthem. Colts head coach knelt ,he was the only coach that kneeled.

That's still less then I thought would have done it.

They all should have just mimed directing an orchestra during the anthem instead.
