@RapSheet

The #Panthers have been informed they are out on a potential trade for #Texans QB Deshaun Watson, per me and @TomPelissero. That leaves the #Falcons and #Saints.

Curious if they’ll be open to moving Woods

And there it is

After signing Allen Robinson today, the Rams begin receiving calls about the availability of WR Robert Woods, who is now a prime trade candidate, per league sources. Woods is coming off a torn ACL, but is expected to be ready by training camp.

Why is it taking Watson so long to decide?

I'll be surprised if Watson doesn't go to Atlanta. Through the years, he's spoken fondly of Atlanta and how much that city and home state mean to him. Family, friends, fans. Good friend and QB coach Quincy Avery. I believe Watson has a home there. It would be an ideal fit

Hopefully teams see this bullshite from Atlanta and lowball the hell out of them for Ryan and wait until after his bonus guarantees to make the trade. Literally no reason to take on the extra $7.5 million to help the Falcons.

I think he's already picked the falcons, but the Texans don't want matt Ryan.

Scuttlebutt is that it's between the Colts and another team. My guess is either the Niners or Eagles(his hometown team).

The Falcons are doing Matt a solid by pushing his bonus back till Tuesday. That bides them time to complete a deal and will actually have the opposite effect that you want. The Falcons will still end up w/a good deal for them and for Matt.

I mean they moved it once already, the falcons and Ryan could simply move the deadline again to allow for more time

I imagine Ryan will get traded for little value or possibly even with the falcons giving up an asset to get off the contract given their situation, similar to the Brock Osweiler deal a few years back. In a vacuum there’s no real reason for any team to do the falcons the favor of taking that contract to get Watson so they may have to sweeten the deal to get a 3rd party to take the action

The Baker- Cleveland drama could end up helping the falcons in this regard, especially if they can prop them against teams like Indy. If one of those teams is really desperate to make that trade then it’s more likely the falcons could get a positive asset out of that deal

Another change: DT Larry Ogunjobi failed his physical with the #Bears and is not signing there. He's back on the market.

I’m told Falcons brass has ‘keys to the city’ to bring a trade home with Deshaun Watson & would be ‘surprised’ if that doesn’t occur based on strong mutual interest & conversations. Separately I expect Watson to receive new money in a restructured contract once any trade is done.

We’re on what day 3 of Watson to ATL imminent now?

I know he’s the biggest headliner left but I’m tired of seeing these random writers saying it could come down any moment now

A team is definitely going to give the falcons a pick or two for ryan. I believe a lot of that money will hit the falcons cap, not the other way around.

Sounds like it's the browns. He wants the colts but the browns are trying to get him to change his mind.

Well it’s all moot now, but the point was that the falcons would attach those picks for the team to take on the cap hit from a restructure, that would be necessary to get the Watson money
