How about Eric Musselman? Former Golden State coach, great offensive minded coach.

I used to like him and he might still be good, but he supposedly pissed a lot of ppl off and did a terrible job w/ the Kings. Of course he wasn't in a great situation there.

That DUI arrest (2007?) didn't earn him any PR points either.

True but he is a great coach nonetheless. He has got his life straight. I talk with him frequently actually and as a friend of mine I would like to see him get it.

I hope this is true. New Orleans is a tough place to deal w/ demons.

If so, I'd love to see him coach the Hornets. He could really bring an exciting brand of offense that could really allow Chris Paul to flourish.

yes his style is great and will do well with Collison, Thornton, Peja, CP3, West and whoever else comes in. If you are on facebook, search Nor Cal Select, that is his sons aau team. He helps with that team a lot. They just started it this year.

Oh god that would be an abortion of a hire.

I'd rather Mike Fratello.

Good stuff. I've been curious about one thing w/ Musselman: How come he hasn't shown up on any TV gigs since he's been out of coaching? He always had a great presence and would come off well in interviews. I liked him as a coach, but I always used to think he would make an even better analyst. Is that just not an interest of his?

I've wanted JVG all along, but if things keep going the way they are.......I think they stick with Floyd

IDK why you quoted me, I was being VERY sarcastic. Lee is trash as a coach. But he is on his way out at ULL

yeah I hate to say it but if you watch when the team goes to the sidelines during important late game situations it seems that Floyd is taking control. I think he will be next since he will be so cheap.

pitino would be bad for 2 reasons

1. he's not an NBA coach

2. he'd command a high salary. the hornets need to spend that money elsewhere

I'd be shocked if an uber-religious guy like shinn would hire Pitino given the nature of his scandals.

That being said, Shinn will go after a "name" (but not a big one) instead of an assistant. Bank on it.
