I think Dabo ends up going to Bama in 5-10 years

Probably will be ready for a change by then

I can see a bunch of very practical reasons Dabo shouldn't leave Clemson. But this isn't a situation where a guy has been shy about his love for his alma mater, he's an open Bama fan and loyalist when they aren't playing Clemson. I'm not convinced he jumps, but any Clemson fan telling you he's certain he won't is just trying to convince himself.

I also don't think Dabo is cut out for the NFL. He has a perfect schtick (meant in best way possible) for CFB and it works great somewhere like Clemson. It's basically the Chizik theme at Auburn except Chizik could only keep it going for months, not years. Dabo has perfected it, and it's not at all transferrable to the NFL IMO. I think Dan Quinn's "brotherhood" approach is an NFL variant and it's pretty damn lame.

How fast would Dick Vitale backpedal if Wade succeeded Coach K?

Dawkins probably was at one point but has been mediocre as a head coach. Last year he was pretty good, but that's about it.

Ron Zook and Luke Fickell were legends?

Urban replaced Tressel obviously. Fickell was an interim.

As was previously stated, Tressel obviously had a legendary career on any objective metric (even a controversial firing as many legends have).

Hugh Freeze will be ready for his comeback when Saban retires.

In most cases, why would you leave a program you've built into a near self sustaining powerhouse.

But Alabama isn't most cases unless Saban runs it in to the ground on the way out (don't see that happening).

When Roy retires I think they make a run at Few (won’t come - West Coast guy).

Too early to name Stack, although a possibility if he gets things going at Vandy. Hasse hasn’t done anything yet at Stanford.

You heard it here first: Wes Miller

I'm surprised Wes hasn't jumped to a larger name program yet. He has had a ton of success at uncg. Think unc would hire him straight from there or will he need to be successful at another stop?

I’m saying Wes will be ready in 5 years. I agree it might be wise for him to take a higher profile job in the interim to give him a shot at the UNC job.

I could see Chris Beard to Kansas.
Jay Wright would be a fit at UNC or Duke; but he's at a school that can do anything those 2 can do.

Alabama - no idea, but it will be 20 years before they get someone as good as Saban.
