I think this is a better job than Sam Houston I just don't he'd stay very long if he continues the way he has.

All of the big Texas jobs are currently filled by guys who seem like they're in it for the long haul. Those are the jobs he'd most likely be holding out for.

Also you need to understand the difference between prestigious and better.
Top 10-15 in attendance, talent rich state, top notch facility.

This is as good as baseball jobs get. On the surface it may be the best mid major job in the country. New stadium is one of the best in the country and we fill it up with one of the best environments in the nation. Lafayette is a great college town and and easy to attract talent. The university is growing and has a really good offering of degree programs.
The problem will be that whomever the next coach will be it won’t be Robe. The entire program was built and sustained in his image.

You’re right it’s not a job like LSU texas miss state Arkansas etc but it’s got all the support you could ask for, a chance to be a juggurnaut In the sun belt. I know what I’m saying and what it looks like, but it really better then a ton of p5 jobs.

There are about probably less than 30-40 programs who give a shite about baseball and that’s stretching it. I doubt Deggs is looking to wait long at Sam Houston.
