Title IX applies to all schools that accept federal funding. It can't be avoided.

Factor in that the cost of “rent a wins” from FBS-A programs will likely get into the 3-4m range instead of the 1.5-2m range, and it won’t really be that much more expensive.

There won’t be rent a wins one day soon… they’ll become scrimmages which don’t count or they simply won’t play

Yes. 50% of all cash deposited into the trust fund would need to go toward women to comply with Title IX.

Does that mean the total amount spent on men has to be the same as that spent on women? It's unclear. But the numbers who are receiving compensation need to be equal.

Just have the football players identify as female. Problem solved.

There needs to be an agreed upon salary cap. There has to be some system in place to make it fair for most schools. This seems reckless

+1. As well as sitting out a year if you enter the portal. Only exception is if the HC resigns or is terminated.

Why even continue with the charade of academics? Just have professional teams with university branding and make school optional.

Fans: Something has to be done about that state of CFB.
NCAA: We'll make it so that the federal government gets involved. That should fix everything.

Some schools may say that's not our mission and drop sports altogether.
It's gonna be interesting to say the least.

Is the cost of athletics worth the amount of exposure athletics brings to your doorstep? That will be the hard question universities have to ask themselves.

Take all the teams that are willing and able to spend big time $$$ on athletics/NIL and put them all into one league so the other schools can actually compete

Schools with massive donors and trusts will start to completely dominate within 5 years.
I think it will be schools with marketing skills to convince networks to pay huge amounts up front - sports donors will follow, not lead.

And it has to be up front, because I think this notion just blows everything up within a couple years.

Or better yet, maybe it will go back to unpaid college students that play sports, instead of paid athletes that play school.
That will never happen as long as schools are willing to pay coaches, administrators, and conference administrators rockstar CEO compensation. The disparity between them and players, and between them and actual academic staff is just too obvious and unconscionable.

Cutting the players in on the action at least makes it clear that the whole operation has nothing to do with academics and it's just a business collaboration that people can accept.

Title IX would 100 percent be changed to take this into account.
