The NCAA has already commenced an investigation on LSU. It began months ago.

They can keep looking but that does not mean they will find anything of substance.

I don’t WANT us to get hammered by the NCAA, I just think we WILL get hammered. I just am looking at the situation realistically, without the p&g goggles.

You absolutely do want this. You want this to feel superior to everyone else. Congratulations. What does that do? Everyone goes on cheating as usual and we get punished. What’s the point in obeying rules if nobody else has to follow them?

Please provide one single reputable link that says LSU is under investigation

Apparently per the article I linked the NCAA off the record and under the table have been snooping around Wade's recruiting history. And they have not found chiiite. There has been no official notification or official investigation. Of course those with agendas will twist the truth and misconstrue facts on purpose.

I missed the part where the NCAA said they would not be investigating us.

This is going to be one of those threads we can look back on in 2 years and see who was right and who was wrong.

Time will tell.

It's amazing what posters like you do. You take a stand against lsu, then as time goes on, you double and triple down on that stand. You have made such a huge deal out of this, that you want nothing less than wade's head on a platter. You want to be right so badly, that you have become obsessed with Wade being guilty.

Well, we have other sports and football is our gigantic money-maker. We also have a baseball program that is one of the few in the nation that profits. And it's his alma mater located where he is from.

I'm not saying the NCAA will get us for anything, but he didn't take the job because he had some kind of assurance on LSU's basketball program not being in any

Yeah and our football program has just happened into snatching big time recruits from California etc. if you think Woodward left a Cush gig at a school with bottomless pockets to take this job at this moment without figuring out if the ncaa was going to be on campus then that is a sign of your poor intelligence

Exactly. These losers want to be able to say I told you so and we got what we deserved.
The reality is I think most of us believe we have paid money. But, we also realize that programs at the top are cheating massively. I'm fine with us getting busted as long as the blue bloods are hammered too. At least the playing field would become more even. However, we know they aren't going to do that to duke, Kansas, unc, ky, etc. We probably will get hammered, and it's sad to see these losers like Lester and this clown actually hoping we get busted. It's pathetic really. With the way college basketball is, you must pay players or get left in the dust.

Actually NCAA was loking into the recruting tactics of JJ . Three players that attended LSU during his time here.

Nope, that couldnt be furthest from the truth.

I do have to be real with myself. Im not wired to be some homer. I enjoy living in reality. I have the brain capacity to love LSU but also see wrongdoing.

Speaking of poor intelligence...ha. USC and UCLA combined won a total of 8 games last year and LSU won more games than both of them combined. They are both pathetic. Orgeron used to coach up there and has lots of connections from when he very successfully recruited the area at USC, so getting recruits from there right now is not surprising at all.

aTm, for all their deep pockets, is not LSU and it likely won't ever be. LSU has 48 team national titles
compared to aTm's 17. Woodward got a raise to come home to a place that he loves and a place that straight-up wins more. And in his contract, it's stated that if LSU is hit with any sanctions from events occurring before he took the job, his contract will be extended two years at it's highest level (1.5 million per year). Doesn't sound like he got any guarantees to me other than with his contract.

I wouldnt call it fantastic news. The fact they are chasing anything based off of this investigation is not great for LSU, considering they are one of the handful of schools with either a HC or assistant coach directly involved. It's not as direct as AZ, since they have their assistant on the hook, but there is smoke there.

We've heard 3 different players already tied to Wade and offers. Do you really want them to keep looking? Do you think it stops there? Wade's already been on their radar the last year with reports they were snooping around already.

If you are starting a list, LSU is 2nd or 3rd in line. Fantastic, eh. Ok.

Well stop the frickin presses, Les, this was pretty much my exact thought process when I heard this news.

Not sure how anyone could argue this is a good sign of things to come for LSU.

I mean, I’m not disagreeing that LE May feel this way, but it certainly doesn’t show in the post you are referencing.

He barely even mentions Wade. He’s just acknowledging that the NCAA taking steps based off of information that came out in that case certainly isn’t good news for LSU.

It is a perfectly reasonable and accurate take
