Of course the NCAA was going to investigate Arizona. They’ll probably investigate us too, and Clemson, and USC, and Alabama. Etc Etc.
But this is a good thing, it shows that they aren’t just going to import the fbi testimony/evidence, bc none of it is direct. They’re going to use it as the basis to open their own investigations, but they’re still going to need to find something when they investigate.

How can this be viewed as anything but fantastic news Lester?
They now clearly aren’t using fbi evidence and they also clearly view Arizona as target #1. If, and that’s a big if they come after us, it will be at minimum a year in the future at which we would have scorched everything

I mean I thought that, but that’s not what the majority of anti-Wade chicken littles seemed to think would happen every time some “leak” came out. I mean there’s a huge thread on the front page by an anti-Wade panicking about the NCAA’s ability to import evidence from other investigations

I wouldnt call it fantastic news. The fact they are chasing anything based off of this investigation is not great for LSU, considering they are one of the handful of schools with either a HC or assistant coach directly involved. It's not as direct as AZ, since they have their assistant on the hook, but there is smoke there.
We've heard 3 different players already tied to Wade and offers. Do you really want them to keep looking? Do you think it stops there?
Wade's already been on their radar the last year with reports they were snooping around already.
If you are starting a list, LSU is 2nd or 3rd in line. Fantastic, eh. Ok.

LSU and Will Wade are in good shape imo. NCAA may well open up an investigation at some point, but other than the optics and PR hit nothing of significance will come of it imo.

I don’t see where they’re investigating LSU? Did I miss it?
Also, did all the fireworks that were to be revealed in the trial ever come out? I thought Wade was gonna be exposed with all sorts of testimony from Dawkins?

Have to agree with Lester on this take. Don’t expect it to just be Arizona.
