Damn, it takes 3 steps to the left for Granger to go from best to worst.

Rondo being the best mid-range shooter from the top right side?
it kind of helps that basically every team lets him shoot those uncontested

Hibbert needs to apply some work down low.

These charts are awesome.
It really does seem like Amare tries to shoot from that spot quite often....
he needs to stop

I find it crazy that every spot on the court has someone 50% or over, yet the top left of the key is all the way at 40%. That is a pretty huge gap in the law of averages

Yeah I was trying to find a reasonable explanation for this and came up empty

Do teams use these analytics?

Probably something to do with most shooters being right handed and the angle and depth of that part of the key.
Thats my guess. I could figure it out if I had some numbers for left and right handed shooters from there.

If you compare the two charts something random popped out to me
In Game 2 or 3 of the finals when Miami almost lost the game at the end after an OKC run, Westbrook passed on a wide open three (From the spot where he was the worst in the league at shooting) and passed it to Durant who shot and made it at the spot where he was the best shooter in the league.
Can you imagine if Westbrook wouldnt have shot it?

Granger +11%
Terry +5%
and Novak +4%
are the most impressive if you consider the differential between their percentage and the best at the opposite-side similar location.
