Harden agreed to opt in for next year leaving 10+ million on the table.

Philly fans don't seem super thrilled about this move.

And I can't really blame them.

If people think James Harden is washed up, that would make sense. But if you are of the opinion it was just a bad fit in Brooklyn, then they should be ecstatic to get an MVP-caliber player.

What makes you think that? I mean, peak James Harden was 36 ppg, 11 ast.. so yeah, hardly anyone will ever average that again.

But 27 pts 10 ast James Harden on 60% ts%? Why not?

He outplayed KD in a playoff series about 8 months ago. He was the best player in the nba in the playoffs last year prior to injury.

They should have traded Jonathan Isaac and Mo Bamba by now

In zero series was one of his own teammates better, and in only one series was he not the best player outta both squads.
Now compare his 4th stats to Stephs in the final couple of games those back to back seasons

This was the leaguewide playoffs leaders at the end of rd 1 last year. He was pretty clearly the best player at the end of rd 1 prior to injury.

Harden had a 24 game score. Steph was 14.

Steph team won..that says all we need to know about the supporting cast each player had.

The Boston Celtics are trading Josh Richardson to the San Antonio Spurs for Derrick White, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium

That’s a very nice pickup. Celtics are only 4.5 games out of 1st in the East.

Hes shooting his worst ts%/fg%/efg% since his rookie year. He's such a good distributor I have no doubt at his worst he'll be at 8-10 apg, but the scoring is leaving him.

the roster he had around him was bums. There was no shooting/ no pathway to the rim. Out there with cam Thomas, bembry, brown, and James Johnson and you can imagine what the spacing looks like

He’s only 32. He didn’t magically get worse. He just didn’t fit well with the Nets. The season before he went to the Nets he averaged 34 ppg. His first season with the Nets he averaged 24. He didn’t magically get worse. It was just a bad fit.

If James Harden was as consistent as Boom, he'd have 4 titles by now.
