It is used with disgust and hatred by one group. And by the other group it is not. So yea there can be an issue with who is saying it.

You’re late to this thread. We’ve been told not to care about racism toward Jews, Hispanics, Whites or anyone else. Racism towards black people is the only racism that matters.

A very Common theme for racists is that “if they can say it, then I can!!!”

It sounds like the ultimate projection that the person you are arguing with has been deranged by the media when you just assumed that he is one of the .02% of people that watch Fox News on a nightly basis in this country.
