He's clearly the best player from that draft and every team in the league would rather the payoff that is him over having full 82 from any other player in that draft.

Ok I did forget he was in that draft but he got drafted during a Taco Bell commercial 5 hours later so the realistic options were Embiid or Aaron Gordon, Dante Exum, Marcus Smart, even Lavine.

As much fun as watching the fallout of another Celtics playoff elimination combined with Bill Simmons losing his fricking mind would’ve been, we still have a slim chance of a Lakers/Celtics Finals with #18 on the line What a treat that would be for us fans
Oh man the copium in this post is strong.

Jason Tatum going 5/21 is such a great way to honor Kobe’s legacy

Kobe put up similar numbers in game 7 in 2010.
The win is all anyone remembers.

quote:What? Since those first 3 seasons, he’s been an all-star in all 6, all nba 5 times (4 2nd and 1 1st), all nba defense 3 times (all second), and son the MVP this season.
Embiid has always been way overhyped. It was dumb when they drafted him amd had to wait like 3 years to get him on the court, only to have him get injured basically every year for nearly a decade.
They’ve gone to the playoffs all 6 seasons, and they were the craziest game 6 buzzer beating shot in history away from beat the eventual NBA champs. Not to mention, pretty much every other top draft pick the they during “the process” ended up being a bust.
Besides who else should they have chosen? Aaron Gordon, Julius Randle? I mean him and Jokic are clearly the 2 best players from that draft, and they could have gotten Jokic in the 2nd round.

The game 5 thread has enough of that to last several weeks.

Can someone teach board simpleton Stidham8 how to use the quote function if he’s going to post receipts
Stidham in a landslide here imo. Whatiknowsofar isn’t an idiot imo just a little too emotional. That Thanos guy does suck but doesn’t come off as a knuckle dragger like Stidham imho jmo

quote:Well Jokic is probably the best player, but he went in the middle of the 2nd round (#41) so anybody could have had him.
Well that's retarded. He's clearly the best player from that draft and every team in the league would rather the payoff that is him over having full 82 from any other player in that draft.

quote:Well you remember it, and I also remember him going 6/24, so clearly people remember it. But yeah, in general most people only care about who won, even those who remember it.
