There are not many surer bets in todays NBA than that HOU will be in the playoffs. I'm not sure if you know or not but they only have 3 losing seasons in the last 32.

In the last decade (since 99-00) the following teams from the current western conference have more playoff appearances than Hou.

Lakers
Spurs
Nuggets
Jazz
Thunder
Dallas
Griz
Trailblazers
tied- Suns
tied- Raptors

So essentially they are barely above the likes of the Pelicans, Timberwolves, and Kings.

What do seasons decades ago have to do with the likelihood that they make the playoffs this upcoming season?

not sure you can realistically do "better". at least not short term. just not really wanting to tie up too much money with a 30 year old big who relies a lot on his quickness (compared to other centers) to thrive. and one who has a tendency to disappear at times.

just kinda wondering if you can't get a cheaper stopgap for a year or 2, pair him with a good young big you get at 12, and try a center by committee approach so to speak.

but I'm guessing Al gets max or near-max, and they try to swing for the fences with the cap room opened by the trade (and any subsequent moves to clear space). come onnnnn Durant

That's not really important when we are discussing the future.

Don't feed the troll. He got exposed on another website for imitating a delusional rockets fan and has taken home here ever since.

Kidding right? Lakers have as many losing seasons in the last 3 years as HOU has in 32 years.
